and the second character Ki represents in translation: energy.

Energy, Energy of the Divine Light, Energy of the Divine Source
of Light.
Reiki is primarily a method of healing, of self-healing,
but firstly teaches us one way in life and therefore diserves
our respect. This is underlined by the fact that in the Reiki
ideogram, in the sense that each character could be attributed
several meanings, Rei could be translated as: respect, gratitude
for the Source of Light / Energy, for society, for others,

Master must send this to his students.

who gives the Reiki technique together with the spirit that

Of course, that in this way, the Master and his Student walk
along on the path of spiritual development.
So through Reiki, we can understand both the respect that
we owe to the new Source, but also the action of Spirit (Ki)
which fosters and honors respect. The two ideograms Rei and
Ki are a whole and complement each other, from here resulting
the harmony of the system.
